About Opportunity
Mentors will meet with the young person for a couple of hours each week, supporting them to make informed lifestyle choices and encourage them to participate in diversionary activities within Bellshill. In addition, mentors will establish a positive relationship with the young person's parent(s) to ensure that the young person's best interests are at the forefront of the programme. Mentors should be caring, supportive, a good listener, non-judgemental and have a genuine interest in the wellbeing of young people.

About YMCA Bellshill & Mossend
to respond on a Christian basis to the needs of the local people, particularily young people. the Association provides oppotunities for individuals to serve the local community currently this includes Youth work ,Childcare,Community Resources Community Work and Health and Fitness.

Travel Details
The mentor will meet the young person at the young person's home, then go out for a coffee / chat / activity. All out of pocket expenses will be covered by the YMCA.
Restrictions
Induction to Bellshill & Mossend YMCA 4-5 week training programme (one evening a week for 3 hours).
