About Opportunity
Part of the work that GREC carries out, is to provide presentations in Primary and Secondary Schools, throughout Grampian, on the issues surrounding Diversity and Racism. These presentations are currently undertaken by the GREC Police secondee, it is believed that pupils would further benefit from having a second person present during the presentations who could provide a more personal aspect to the work. GREC are accepting applications from people to join a team of volunteers who will work in partnership with the Police Secondee to provide presentations to Primary and Secondary school children regarding the subject of Diversity and Racism. GREC are looking for persons who would be willing to take part in the presentations and share their own positive and negative, experiences. The opportunity would be ideally suited to someone who has experienced discrimination due to race, religion or where they come from. This would be an opportunity to make a difference to the ideas and behaviour of young people in the community.
