When We Need You
From 04/01/2010 onwards
The work will involve working with a small group of 4-6 people, assisting the Technical Instructor in coaching service users in basic woodwork skills and making a variety of wooden projects. Projects may include garden and household items such as benches, planters, bird tables, dog kennels, coffee tables, garden gates. The DIY tuition would involve a mix between group work or working 1:1 with a service user. The volunteer will under the supervision/support from the Technical Instructor at all times.

Skills & Experience
a knowledge of standard woodwork methods, a knowledge of DIY - or both - and an ability to pass on these skills. A pleasant and approachable manner is also important.

Frequency & Commitment
approx 3-4 hrs once a week. a second day can be arranged if wished. minimum committment of 3 months
