About Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity to start off getting involved in youth and adult group work, having lots of fun and laughs working with articulate and well mannered people on focused projects as you build up your own experience and training in this field of work. This opportunity involves working with small groups of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, providing assistance in groups which provide workshops on issues of self esteem, personal development and provide an opportunity for social/peer support for young people. Volunteers will work with specific groups (13-17 year olds, 18-26 year olds, 20+), generally getting to know them, building a rapport, providing a listening support and sign-posting where necessary to other services.
