About Opportunity

The work will involve working in a small group of approx 3-5 adults who have experienced mental illness. The role involves teaching basic arts & crafts skills. This may include watercolour/oil painting/pencil or charcoal drawings/wooden crafts etc. The aim is to provide a rewarding activity that will provide a sense of achievement & self worth, together with the opportunity to learn new skills. The work will be carried out under the support of a staff member. The ideal volunteer will not necessarily need to have skills in all of the above areas. Sessions provision will be variable depending on volunteer availability and client demand

Skills & Experience

a knowledge of any aspect of arts & crafts, and an ability to pass on these skills. A pleasant and approachable manner is also important

At our premises in Pinefield, Elgin. We have a craft room set up for the activity

Training and Induction Details

company inductin would be done in the first few weeks of starting, company provides in house training that volunteers would be welcome to attend. Regular support & supervision is provided.
