About Opportunity

Our organisation has access to minibuses at the weekends but often no-one is available to drive them, which means service users are unable to go out very far. Many service users enjoy going to a show or the cinema in the evenings but again are limited by transport difficulties. Ideally volunteer drivers will also be happy to get a bit more involved with service users building their own rapport as well as providing a service by way of transportation. Volunteers are not required to get involved in personal care unless they want to as part of their professional development and even then would first be required to undertake appropriate training.
