About Opportunity
BTCV Scotland offers an exciting opportunity to gain a wealth of valuable experience and training for a career in the environmental sector. Join the BTCV Scotland team as one of our Volunteer Officers (VOs) and learn practical conservation and community development. Each office runs a programme of practical conservation projects throughout the year. These involve undertaking a variety of tasks with the aim of increasing biodiversity and improving access to the countryside. Responsibilities will include: - Help lead, supervise and train the volunteers. - Attending site visits and preparing site reports and risk assessment. - General office work for the projects and lots of practical work. We will provide all the necessary training and support required for the applicant to fulfil this role. About BTCV Scotland-Ross-shire
BTCV helps people protect those things that make their villages, towns, cities and coutryside special. Working in partnership with land-owners, we offer a volunteer-led conservation management service.
Skills & Experience
Must be over 18 and preferably able to commit a minimum of 3 month placement. A full driving licence (for a least 2 years) is necessary for this role. Need to be a good team member willing to support other projects. Good communication skills.

Training and Induction Details
VO's will go through an induction procedure and agree a learning plan. Traiing courses will be offered in line with a Learning Plan. Ongoing Support.

Use of public transport is encouraged and full cost reimbursed. Car mileage is paid at 10p per mile up to a maximum of £5 per journey.

Frequency & Commitment
Ideally we are looking for volunteers who can work with us for 28 hours a week. We look for a minimum commitment of 3 to 6 months.
