About Opportunity
Sycamore Service is dedicated to the needs of the individual child, to encourage positive growth and in all aspects of their development. As a Sycamore Befriender you will be valued as a team member with an important role to play in the child/young person's Plan. To enable you to carry out the valuable work that you do, there will be regular supervision to give an opportunity to discuss your own needs as a Befriender. This could involve either discussion about training needs or a chat about different experiences you have faced.

We pride ourselves in maintaining our child centred focus and strong committment to the individual development of each child emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually, to enable them to move on into successful independent living.
Skills & Experience
A must of a good befriender is the ability to effectively listen, be able to maintain boundaries, be a good role model, strong value base and recognise their own strengths and weaknesses.
Travel Details
3 units in Kirkcaldy and 1 in Dunfermline. Any expenses incurred in this role will be reimbursed.
