About Opportunity

We are looking for volunteers to join our regional management committee to help support our invaluable service. We are particularly keen to hear from volunteers with experience in finance, fundraising, management, training and IT who can assist us in sustaining and developing our organisation. Opportunities also for a Chair and Vice-Chair for this committee. This committee covers Strathkelvin, Forth Valley and West Lotrhian.

About Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland Central Region

Everyone experiences bereavement at some stage of their life, the death of a parent, a loved one, a friend or a child. The feelings of grief can overwhelm us at the time, but we work through them and come to terms with our loss. Our lives will never be the same again, things have changed. Sometimes though the feelings, perhaps of despair or guilt or sheer loneliness, may overwhelm us and we need to seek help. Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland are able to support you through this difficult time. We are able to help you through one-to-one counselling sessions which will enable you to work through your grief.

Skills & Experience

Management experience would be desirable but not essential; experience of being involved in a voluntary organisation would be welcome. However fundraising experience and financial acumen desirable.

Travel Details

Meetings are held alternatively in Dunblane and Kirkinitilloch

Restrictions

Due to the nature of the work and the client group involved a level of maturity is required.

We will reimburse volunteer travel expenses on completion of form: public transport costs or milage paid at rate of 30p per mile.
