About Opportunity

Volunteers provide a dog walking service for people in their area who are elderly or terminally ill. These people will have been referred through doctors, social workers etc. Volunteers can also take dogs into their own home and care for them for a specific, short term period while their owner is ill or in hospital.

About Cinnamon Trust, The

The Cinammon Trust seeks to relieve the anxieties, problems and sometimes injustices faced by terminally ill people and their pets, thereby saving a great deal of human sadness and animal suffering.

Skills & Experience

Volunteers need a telephone and preferably transport as well as an interest in the welfare of others and a love for animals. They need to show commitment and be available to assist in an emergency.

Travel Details

This will take place in various locations depending on where the clients live. Volunteers will usually need their own transport or good access to public transport.
