Children’s Camp Co-ordinator – Scotland
When We Need You
From 19/10/2007 onwards
About Opportunity
The Cleft Lip and Palate Ass is a national charity. We have recently appointed a dedicated children's co-ordinator to develop children and young peoples service. As part of the expanding service we want to increase the number of children's camps in the Scotland and want them to be in many locations and centres so that more children with a cleft lip and/or palate across Scotland can enjoy them. We need an individual to firstly research new activity centres within Scotland and then go and visit each activity centre and report on their suitability including location, cost, amenities and activity choices available.

About Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA), The
The Cleft Lip and Palate Association aims to further improve the quality of life for all those born with clefts and their families. We do this by offering the most appropriate and meaningful services to all those with or affected by a cleft lip and/or palate. The children’s services at CLAPA aims to bring children and young people together who have a cleft lip and/or palate in a safe, inclusive and fun environment by offering workshops, residential camps and an outlet to get their voices heard.
Skills & Experience
Good report writing is essential as well as an awareness of what makes a great children’s camp. Work with children and young people prior to volunteering would be beneficial. An ability to work alone as well as feedback to a wider team is preferable.
