About Opportunity
CAN aims to provide gardening opportunities for anyone who wants them. There will be raised beds for those who can't kneel or dig, and paths will generally be accessible to wheelchair users. This is an excellent opportunity to be in at the start of creating a new community asset. The work will vary depending on the season and volunteers will be asked to identify what sort of work they would prefer, or are able to do; from digging, helping to put up and equip a polytunnel and shed, sowing seeds, potting on, planting out, planting out fruit bushes, helping to create a small wildlife garden, weeding and harvesting. Experienced gardeners will have access to the site to work at times to suit them (by prior arrangement) - including evenings and Sundays.

About Moffat CAN
Moffat CAN is a carbon reduction charity aiming to publicise environmental awareness. The current Grow Allot project involves creating organic allotments and a community market garden at the site of the old town Drying Green, Annanside, and refurbishing the adjacent derelict Church Depot to create a workshop and store for our new recycling operations.
