About Opportunity

The volunteer should have a genuine interest in people – and be prepared to be flexible. Duties involved are welcoming clients to the Centre, assisting them (where appropriate) to be seated, laying tables and serving meals, then clearing up and washing up afterwards. Most clients remain after lunch to take part in an group or individual activity. There may be some assistance required in setting up and clearing up after the activity. In addition some frailer clients may need one to one support to participate and the volunteer would enable them to better particpate in that activity.
