About Opportunity
Self Help Africa is expanding our numbers of volunteers across Edinburgh. We need people to help organise a fundraising event with the help of other volunteers. This could be anything from something small like a sponsored event, a ladies lunch or a quiz night etc or something bigger like a ball or a parachute jump! It could be absolutely anything! Self Help Africa can offer as much support as you need and we also have a few other volunteers in Scotland who are willing to help. Running an event is such a great way to learn new skills, such as team work, event organisation and general information about international development. It is also a great way to meet new people and have lots of fun whilst helping families in need.

About Self Help Africa
Self Help Africa works with rural families across nine countries in Africa helping them to earn an income, grow their own food and become self sufficient.
Skills & Experience
No past experience necessary as training will be given. It would be useful if the volunteer was good at working in a team and confident enough to approach new people,
Travel Details
The events would need to be in Edinburgh. The venue would vary from time to time. We would cover travel expenses.

Training and Induction Details
I travel to Edinburgh and the next time I am there I am hoping to get all interested volunteers to meet together and give an induction on what would be necessary for the role.
