Need Volunteers?

National Organisations

If you are a volunteer involving organisation operating across two or more local authority areas, then your best bet is using the Volunteering Zone (www.volunteeringzone.org.uk).

The Volunteering Zone is an online user-friendly system to manage your opportunities across Scotland.

The Volunteering Zone will provide your organisation with a range of benefits

  • 24/7 access to manage your opportunities online in one place.
  • Advertise your opportunities to around 40,000 volunteers a month on volunteerscotland.org.uk
  • Manage branch organisations, or affiliate club details online
  • Manage user account details for other people in your organisation
  • Maintain control across your organisation by creating opportunity templates for your branch contacts to use.
  • Access reports on how many volunteers have viewed or responded to your opportunities across Scotland.
  • Group opportunities together under one off events

We welcome all kinds of volunteering opportunities based in Scotland: long term, short term, one-offs, homebased, online etc. We accept volunteer opportunities from the voluntary, public and private sectors. All we ask is that your volunteering opportunities must meet with our minimum requirements.

Organise Events?

If you have any one-off events that engage volunteers to help make them happen, then check out the Events Section. You can register to publicise your event by visiting Event Team Scotland. Registering down this route gives you everything the Volunteering Zone does but also gives you access to people who sign up to be event volunteers.

Please contact Volunteer Development Scotland if you want to know more about the system.
