I first got to know Kurdish peolpe 10/12 years ago when they came to work in the north of Scotland. There was about 400/500 kurds that lived in the local area but they got all the racial abuse because they were different, that is when I decided to help.
I work in the same factory as they did so I would speak with the main people that look after them, told them that I was there to help, they learnt to trust me,. As the years went on they got fewer as they moved to other cities. I was asked by one Kurd to come to Glasgow to help him, so I did and that was when I came to Glasgow to live. I am still helping Kurds to this day and I want to go on helping people like this.
