From Barbara Osborne, Head of Volunteer Fundraising
You may not realise that heart and circulatory disease is Scotland’s biggest killer and sadly takes more lives than cancer.
That’s why BHF Scotland is working hard to raise vital funds – and we simply couldn’t do it without our loyal and committed volunteers.
The money you raise is quite simply helping us save lives. It pays for pioneering research, care for patients, our campaigning and the excellent information we provide.
Why volunteer with BHF Scotland? Let our volunteer Linda Booden tell you: “I collect donations from groups that have been fundraising, give talks about BHF Scotland and make collections at shops and supermarkets. I also organised a dance this year to raise funds myself.
“I get a lot of enjoyment out of it and like giving something back to the community. Volunteering with BHF Scotland makes me feel like I’m part of a big family.”
If you are already a BHF Scotland volunteer, thank you. If not, we’d love to meet you. Please give us a call or an email. Because together we can save the life you love.
